Ol MacDonald.......had a campground!

We took our new tent trailer on it's
maiden voyage!
The Gales (Keith, Jen, Jadyn & Cameron)
and the Deters made their way
to Ol' MacDonald's Resort (by Red Deer)
and enjoyed a weekend away with good friends......
and sunshine!
There were tons of things for the kids
to see and do, and we already
planning to go back!

Rico liked the great outdoors too!

We had rain the first night so these two
munchkins enjoyed hours
of making mud pies.
While we sat close by and enjoyed a beverage :)

The petting zoo was a HUGE hit!
Olivia was shrieking with excitement
and everyone loved feeding the critters.

Hayden got bit by this guy.....
must have thought his finger was tasty!

The miniature train ride, just for the kiddies,
took a little tour through the grounds.

Olivia had to stay with the adults cause
she was too little :(

Ralph "MacGyvered" a wilderness theatre
for a pre-bedtime movie!

The juice and pretzels camping diet to Olivia
is like beer and Spitz to mommy!
We always snack a lot (and drink a lot too)
while camping....all part of the experience?!

Olivia also had fun getting dirty and playing with
little critters of her own.

Here's what we've been up to lately......

.....and boy, have we been busy!

We've been getting up REALLY early to watch
soccer with Daddy.
Why does Holland have to play at
5:30 in the morning?@#!

But we've been really good sports and worn our
orange gear to support the team!

We've been playing at our sand and water table every day!
I'm not sure I thought it through from
a parental perspective when I
told my sister this would be a great gift for Hayden.
I take that back.
Hayden yes.....Olivia not so much!!

The sand lasted only 1 day (but many meltdowns)
over not bringing the sand in the house!
It has become a water ONLY table for now :)

Hayden finished his first season of soccer.
It was too short.
I think they only had 8 practices.

their last game was hilarious......
they followed each other around the field
like little sheep!

We went to Calaway Park (for the first time
this season) with our friends
Darryl & Megan, and their kids Charlotte & Devin.
What a hoot!
Olivia got her first taste of ride excitement
and Hayden wanted to go on
EVERYTHING!
Thank goodness we avoided massive line-ups.

We've been eating lots of popsicles!
These ones are made out of Minigo....yet another
"what was I thinking?" moment!

Minigo = messy
1/2 Frozen and 1/2 melty minigo = SUPER messy!
Still cute :)

Up next for the Deters......
Camping, "Saskatooning" and Stampeding, oh my!

The Card Sisters!

I pirated the following excerpt from my "sisters" Blog.
I just nabbed her highlights :)
My Big Picture, Card Sister said exactly what I wanted to say.
And she said it so well.
I am SO excited about our new endeavor,
so please read on!

Here’s the buzz .......we just launched www.CardSisters.com! I love these girls (my fellow sisters!) and I love this awesome, cool, wicked, easy, fast, cheap and…did I mention?…awesome new way we discovered to send greeting cards.

A few noteworthy notable notes:

  • It’s all done online. Which means you can send a card to anyone from home…while in your pajamas. Sweet.
  • A card costs about a fifth of what you get charged at the store (just over a buck a card, including postage). You would think that means less selection – wrong! There are 1000’s of cards to choose from.
  • Need to send a gift, too? No problem. Personally, I love the Starbucks and Tim Horton’s gift cards, but there are *real* gifts to choose from, too.
  • You can personalize your cards. Write what you want in ‘em, but what’s even better, you can do it in your own handwriting. (This has been my fave part so far!)
  • Upload a picture of your own, lickety split, and add a photo to any card. Or your own photo can BE the card. Can you say, “endless possibilities”??
  • Added bonus – your card is printed the next day, stuffed by hand, and an actual, real stamp is put on it before it’s shipped out. (Makes it just a smidge bit more authentic, no?)

That pretty much covers it. Coolest thing I’ve come across in quite some time. I’m using it for clients, but also for friends, family (don’t worry if you haven’t received one yet — it’s coming!)…and what I love most, for total strangers. Anyone who does anything awesome that you want to acknowledge them for. Who wouldn't want a card for that?!

So check it out, would ya?? www.CardSisters.com You can also email me or phone me and I can fill you in even more. This is a really great thing and you are totally going to want "in!"
