May 25. As you can see, little Hayden is starting to smile, and it seems like he is trying to communicate to us by cooing.
If only he could clearly tell us what he really wants.

May 24. Your going to do what? And put it where?.......
Yeah, I don't think so!!!

May 18, and Hayden is 4 weeks old. He is weighing about 12 pounds now.
So, whatever mommy is doing, Hayden says "keep it up, because it's working"!

May 16, and the weather in Calgary is 30ºC.
Warm enough that dad and Hayden decide to chill on the deck outside.
Nice outfit buddy!

May 14, and Hayden is enjoying a little bath time.
The first few baths were a struggle, but he now enjoys them quite a bit.

Ralph and Kara on wednesday April 19.
Kara had to be induced.
Both of us are happy and comfortable and waiting in anticipation.
Boy would that change the next day.

Our little...........BOY is born.
This picture was taken a couple of hours after he was born.
Little Hayden Rutger Deters entered our lives at 11:43 on April 20, weighing 8lbs 10oz, and measuring 55 cm in length.
Both of us think he is absolutely beautiful.

April 27, Hayden is a week old and fitting in nicely.
Eating and pooping doesn't seem to be a problem for the little guy.
Everybody can't believe the amount of hair! Wow!
Kara and Ralph can't believe the size of the hands......
and you know what they say about big hands.....
A couple of sleepless nights, but we are still enjoying our little bundle of joy.

April 30th and Mommie and Hayden enjoy a little intimate time together.
Ralph is still off and three of us are enjoying the time off together.

Go Flames Go! May the 3rd, and game 7 for the Flames.
Hayden and daddy wanted to support the flames all the way through the playoffs together.
Too bad this was to be the last game for them this year.
Oh well, they'll be cheering on Holland now in the World Cup!
Hup Holland Hup!

May 8th, Hayden is 2 1/2 weeks old. About to go out for a few hours of shopping.
Hayden is filling out nicely....and quickly growing out of his clothes.
Whereas mommy is thinning out nicely.
Putting on make-up was a nice change as well.
Ralph's first day back at work was today....that sucked!

May 9th, and the lack of sleep is catching up on both Hayden and daddy.
So much for watching t.v. together.
Kara on the other hand, is used to seeing Ralph fall asleep in front of the t.v. late at night.
