WOW..... I REALLY like this Santa guy!!
Hayden did very well his first Christmas....it
was very busy with my Mom, Dad and sister here
from Saskatoon, but we had a great time, and
we all got spoiled rotten!

I'm not sure about this Santa Claus character.....

Mall Santa.....

Hayden did well enough to have a quick picture
taken, then realized he didn't know
who he was sitting with, pulled Santa's beard,
and started to get very cranky.

It's hard to believe how quickly Hayden
is growing up! I still find it crazy to
say that I have an 8 month old son!!
He had his first "haircut" yesterday....not
even enough to keep for the scrapbook.
He sure has a little personality, and every day
brings a new trick....now he's clapping, doing
"give me five," and he's just about
got his wave down pat!

Ralph & I decided we needed a night out
together.... so we had a fabulous dinner,
then enjoyed a sultry and festive performance
by Holly Cole and the CPO.
Oma and Opa were happy to babysit!!

We decided to go for a nice walk and look at
Christmas lights since the weather has been so mild.
Hayden loves the backpack, but all that fresh
air makes him sleepy! He can't stay awake
when he's toasty warm and being carried
around....what a life!!

We had to have a photo of Mr.Hayden at 7 1/2 months old,
and little cousin Brody at about 7 1/2 pounds!!
What a difference....but too cute!

Hayden helped us decorate the
Christmas tree this weekend....
he looked so cute as Santa's helper!!
We'll see how jolly he is when he

He's rolling over from back to front,
and back again, and he is trying
very hard to crawl!!

We are starting to exlpore the world
of veggies!! Green beans were first...it took
a few days to "enjoy" that texture. Carrots were on
the menu next...they were much better!
(At least there was no full-body-shiver
of-disgust with those!)

I survived my immunization, and I had a BIG
growth spurt....I'm 20 lbs 5 oz. and 66 cm long!!

We bought Hayden a play mat (that has toys
which hang above him) and he has a blast!!
He is making a lot of new squeaks and squeals
every day....he's a very happy baby!

We went to visit Grandma & Grandpa & Auntie Kelly
in Saskatoon and Hayden slept the whole flight.....

Our first family photo! We were all perfectly matched
in our orange duds to support Holland....Hayden's authentic
soccer jersey arrived special delivery from Holland
and he looks adorable as always!

Hup Holland!!
Yes, the Deters clan is crazy....we were up at 6:30 am
to watch Holland play their first game of the World Cup

and they were victorious!!
(However, Hayden slept through the game,
even despite the cheering!)

I have come to really enjoy my bath time and Mommy & Daddy like it

May 25. As you can see, little Hayden is starting to smile, and it seems like he is trying to communicate to us by cooing.
If only he could clearly tell us what he really wants.

Yeah, I don't think so!!!

May 18, and Hayden is 4 weeks old. He is weighing about 12 pounds now.
So, whatever mommy is doing, Hayden says "keep it up, because it's working"!

May 16, and the weather in Calgary is 30ºC.
Warm enough that dad and Hayden decide to chill on the deck outside.
Nice outfit buddy!

May 14, and Hayden is enjoying a little bath time.
The first few baths were a struggle, but he now enjoys them quite a bit.
