I'm 10 Months Old!!

How can you not kiss this sweet face
a million times a day?@#!
As Ralph put it.....our little boy has been
outside of my body longer than he was in it,
and I still can't believe it some days!
He's working on his 5th and 6th
tooth, trying to climb stairs,
and really hating the word "NO!"
He likes to get into anything that he's not
supposed to.....but he's still an angel to me!!

Hayden is "exploring" EVERYTHING
he can get his little hands on!!
The newest fun thing is playing with the blinds....
no matter how many toys surround him!
He looks like he could be in the 80's band
Flock Of Seagulls with this 'do, the
rosy red cheeks are from teething, and he is
barefoot because he must feel he needs better
grip and he WILL NOT leave his socks on!!
But how do I get past his blue eyes?
...he can do no wrong.

Superbowl Sunday

Well, Hayden's first Superbowl has come and gone!
Hayden has been far too busy to nap lately,
so when he finally fell asleep, he crashed HARD!
So, Mommy watched the commercials
while Hayden had a power nap....
and drooled on my chest a little!

Ahhhh, what a life!
Hayden has his 3rd tooth, and the 4th is on its way!!
The two on the bottom are tiny compared to
this new chomper on top. But in spite of
his teething woes, he continues to be a pretty
happy little guy, and is becoming a lot of fun.
I NOW understand what busy is....
he can pull himself up on everything,
and he is quickly learning what "no" means!!

Whoa.....Look At That Hair!!

Hayden looks more like a little boy every day.....
and I have to remind myself
that he's still a baby!!
We put mousse in his hair in an attempt
to tame the "mad scientist" look,
but it just made his hair
higher and more wild!!
And Mommy is a bit afraid to try and cut it
herself, so baby's 1st haircut may be coming soon!

and I'm so excited!

In spite of teething, and a horrible cold
Hayden still "brushes" his teeth...
all 2 and 1/2 of them!!
...And what real man doesn't
also wear army fatigues??!!

What a sweet face....so innocent....biting his
top lip as if to say "mom, I love you and
I'm cute and I didn't do it!!"
He's crawling everywhere and now he's
trying to pull himself up on furniture too.
I just caught him thinking about
trying to go up the stairs!!

Hayden went in the pool for the first time!!
He LOVED it and we were there
for an hour and a half swimming with Oma.
We are hoping to do this every week so
that he is a real water baby, and isn't a
big chicken like Mommy & Daddy!!

Little Man Is On The Move!

Happy New Year everyone! And look what I can do!!
Hayden has learned to crawl....well, it's more
like he drags himself along on his shoulder,
but we are very proud!
He's pretty quick, and already testing his
boundaries of what he's allowed to touch
and what things are off limits!
We thought we were busy before.......

Up late for New Year's Eve....

We were having the traditional Dutch treat oliebollen
at Oma & Opa's house, and delaying
Hayden's bedtime! He didn't mind because he
was relaxing on the couch with Oma
while she sang to him. He was listening intently....
but his eyes were getting pretty heavy!!

WOW..... I REALLY like this Santa guy!!
Hayden did very well his first Christmas....it
was very busy with my Mom, Dad and sister here
from Saskatoon, but we had a great time, and
we all got spoiled rotten!

I'm not sure about this Santa Claus character.....

Mall Santa.....

Hayden did well enough to have a quick picture
taken, then realized he didn't know
who he was sitting with, pulled Santa's beard,
and started to get very cranky.

I'm 8 Months Old Today!!

It's hard to believe how quickly Hayden
is growing up! I still find it crazy to
say that I have an 8 month old son!!
He had his first "haircut" yesterday....not
even enough to keep for the scrapbook.
He sure has a little personality, and every day
brings a new trick....now he's clapping, doing
"give me five," and he's just about
got his wave down pat!

Ralph & I decided we needed a night out
together.... so we had a fabulous dinner,
then enjoyed a sultry and festive performance
by Holly Cole and the CPO.
Oma and Opa were happy to babysit!!
